Unique Sale Proposal: Live Long!

Recently i have found amazing example of copywriting at war. Vietnamese propagandists distribute this leaflets among american soldiers during 1955-1973 war. Let's analyze how they persuade.




  • Firstly they use statistics to scare soldiers. There was really high possibility to die in foreign country.



  • Western media helped NLF also - they draw dark perspectives of the war for the US. Vietnamese used cites out of Wall Street Journal.

  • Americans were not motivated. Why do they fight? No answer. So isn't this good idea to come back home?

  • Sometimes vietnamese propagandists tried to use emotions in their leaflets, for example congratulating soldiers with christmas.





  • Targeting posts to a different ethnical groups leads contradictions between soldiers.





  •
